Dan Slater is one of our on-air hosts, bringing decades of experience in both entertainment and sports broadcasting. Born in Lowell, Massachusetts in 1946, he is a former singer-songwriter best known for his song “Dogs Who Saved Christmas Day.” He later transitioned into sports media and became the longtime manager of The Local Sports Program, which launched in July 1999 in South Lake Tahoe. The program highlights youth sports and features live broadcasts of high school athletics on the NFHS Network and Lake Tahoe Television. Now retired from management, Dan remains a valued voice and presence on air.
